Pradhan wins golf title

Kathmandu, March 29:

Raj Pradhan won the Pakistan Ambassador’s Golf Tournament here at the Royal Nepal Golf Club today.

Played under stableford 7/8 handicap format, Pradhan accumulated 41 points, while Rabin Rana came second with 38 points. Dorji Tsering Sherpa won the best gross award, while Himalaya SJB Rana finished first in the Super Senior section.

Shahar Singh Limbu won the senior section award, while Puspa Thapa earned 30 points to win the ladies section trophy ahead of Shastika Shrestha (27). Other winners were Raj Pradhan (most birdies), Shreejay Acharya (longest drive), Maj Gen Kiran S Thapa (closest to the pin) and Uma Tiwari (best sportsmanship).

Col MS Dhanoa was the winner in the Guests category. Daisy Imtiaz Ahmed won the putting competition for non-golfers.

Pakistani Ambassador to Nepal Sohail Amin, his wife Shahnaz Sohail, Nepal Golf Association President PK Shrestha and RNGC President Madhukar Yakthumba gave away the prizes.
