Pranav  Khanal and Samrakshyak Bhushan Bajracharya recorded wins in boys’ U-18  section matches of the first ANLTA-JTI National Junior Tennis Tournament here at  the Satdobato Tennis Complex today.

Khanal thrashed Nin Waan Rai 6-0, 6-0, while Bajracharya saw off Samragya Katawal 6-1, 6-0 in their league round matches.

In  boys’ U-14 section, Aadit Subedi beat Nishan Shrestha 6-1, 6-1, Aryan  Giri defeated Evyak Joshi 6-1, 6-0, Prasidha Moktan saw off Sushant  Kuikel 6-2, 2-6, 7-6 (4) and Samyak Bhushan Bajracharya outplayed Arav  Hada 6-1, 6-3 and advanced to the quarter-finals.

Pranav Manadhar  beat Ayushman Ghale 6-1, 6-3 to advance to the boys’ U-10 category last  eight. However, Ghale entered the semis in boys’ U-9 category  beating Boris Adhikari 4-1, 4-0. Sakshyam Shah saw off Nishad Joshi 4-1,  4-0 to make it U-9 section last four.

In girls’ U-18 category,  Mahika Rana recorded a 6-4, 6-4 win against Abhilasha Bista, while  Mayanka Rana saw off Bijisha Shrestha 6-1, 6-4. Meanwhile, Prerana  Koirala beat Prakriti Shrestha 6-1, 6-3 and Saloni Tamang outplayed  Sneha Yadav 6-1, 6-1 to advance to the girls’ U-16 section semi-finals.

In  U-14 section, Saloni Tamang earned a double bagel against Lumu Lama and advance to the last eight. Also, Rayana Shah recorded a 6-0, 6-1 win against Isha Shree Shah, while Abhilasha  Bista saw off Sharvani Shrestha 6-1, 6-0. Prerana Koirala also advanced to the last eight after her opponent Shubhangee Shah retired hurt in the second set while trailing 6-0, 3-0.

In U-12 category, Rayana Shah beat Aisha Gurung 6-0, 6-1, Sharvani  Shrestha saw off Sirista Rai 6-0, 6-1, Shubhangee Laxmi Shah bagged a  double bagel against Roza Shrestha to make it to the last eight. Eva Adhikari also advanced to the quarter-finals after she earned a walkover win from Azaa Regmi.

Similarly,  Prasamsa Moktan beat Jenny Khadka 4-0, 4-1 and Sunira Thapa saw off  Adya Poudel 4-1, 4-0 to enter the girls’ U-9 category semi-finals.
