KATHMANDU: Prime College advanced to the semi-finals of the fifth Xavier Cup U-19 Inter-college Basketball Tournament here on Sunday.

In the boys’ section quarter-final match, Prime defeated BernHardt College 56-50 riding on 25 points from Prajwal Maharjan.

In the girls’ section round robin league match, National College of Computer Studies registered a 36-35 victory over Prime College. Jenisha Gurung top scored with 13 points for the winning team.

A total of 19 teams — 14 in boys’ and five in girls’ sections — are taking part in the tournament organised by Xavier International College.
