Prime triumph; RIBS outplay Gyanodaya
Kathmandu, August 17:
Rhododendron International Boarding School (RIBS), Kathmandu’s Finest, Prime College and Wilson Academy entered the semi-finals of the Mohan Memorial Under-19 Basketball Tournament, which has been organised by CSSV, here on Friday.
Robin Khatri netted 38 points as RIBS outplayed Gyanodaya 100-76 and set up a semi-final clash with Kathmandu’s Finest. Rajan Gauchan netted 26 points for Gyanodaya. Kathmandu Finest defeated Learning Realm International (LRI) 79-52.
Sharad Robertson top-scored in the match with 33 points, while Dipesh Joshi netted 17 points for LRI.
Prime College beat Nepal Basketball Academy (NBA) 53-40. Bikram Joshi scored 12 points for the winners whereas Nishant Tulachan top-scored in the match with 14.
In the last quarter-final match, Aditya top-scored with 36 points but failed to save Ace Institute from a 44-78 loss to Wilson Academy. Daryll Wilson netted 23 for the winners.
In Saturday’s semi-finals, RIBS will play against Kathmandu’s Finest, while Prime are up against Wilson at the GAA Hall. The final is slated for Sunday at the Lincoln School court.
