Lalitpur, November 23

Province No 3 won the title of the first Inter-Province Blind Women’s Cricket Tournament here at the Institute of Engineering grounds today.

In the final match, Province No 3 defeated the combined team of Province No 1 and 4 by seven wickets.

Put into bat first, the combined team scored 171-4 in their allotted 20 overs before Province No 3 raced to 172-3 in 16.1 overs.

The combined team posted a mammoth total riding on Sarita Ghimire’s 57 runs and Bimala Rai’s 41 runs.

In reply, player-of-the-match Mankeshi Chuadhary scored an unbeaten 90 runs and Nima BC added 46 runs for Province No 3.

Mankeshi Chaudhary was also named the best player of the tournament.

A total of four teams competed in the tournament organised by Cricket Association of Blind Nepal.
