DAMAULI: Sujan Pun won the title of the second Open Bandipur Race here on Tuesday.

Rai completed the 9km race in 36 minutes and 48 seconds to finish first ahead of Homlal Shrestha (37:03) and Hari Kumar Rimal (39:21).

Bhumiraj Rai came fourth in 39:41. Top four athletes received Rs 40,000, Rs 20,000, Rs 10,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively.

A total of 52 athletes took part in the race that began at Banfipur and ended at Khadkamai Temple.

Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal handed over the prizes.
