Puri earns Euro C’ships tickets

Kathmandu, May 10

Himal Puri of Thamel was drawn as the lucky consumer of the Carlsberg Live it LIVE campaign and earned the tickets to France to watch the Euro 2016 match between Italy and Sweden in June.

Puri was drawn as the alternate-one consumer and he is certain to become the luckiest consumer after the main winner Yuko Hatake Yami turned out to be a Japanese national.

As per the rules, only Nepali consumers are eligible to participate in the campaign.

The winner of the campaign, which began in March, can take a friend along with him all the way to France to watch the match between Italy and Sweden on June 17 and also hand over the Carlsberg man-of-the-match trophy.

“This is once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our consumers and Carlsberg has made Nepali football fans’ dream come true through this campaign,” said Baibhav Sharma, Head of Marketing at Gorkha Brewery.

“This is all expenses paid trip and the consumers can enjoy VIP hospitality in France,” he added. Nishan Tamang of Tusal has been drawn as alternate-two consumer and he will be eligible to go to France if the winner does not get visa.

“We will apply for visas of all the winners at the same time and if the winner does not get it, the alternate consumer can enjoy the facilities,” he added.

Apart from the three consumers, another 10 trade partners were also drawn for the match between Iceland and Austria on June 22.

Deluxe Liquors of Jyatha, Amrit Store of Thamel, Golden Eye Enterprises of Airport, Coins Liquors of Tinchuli, Faces Lounge of Thamel, Societe Lounge of Hattisar, Classic Bourbon of Durbarmarg, Reji Kirana Store of Tikhedewal, RD Traders of Pokhara, and Krishna Store of Dharan earned tickets for the match.

National football team skipper Biraj Maharjan, coach Raju Kaji Shakya and Miss Nepal Evana Manandhar conducted the lucky draw amidst a programme.
