PHIDIM: Yangdev Rai of Damak won the Eastern Regional second Sumhatlung Mini-marathon here on Sunday. Rai clocked 30 minutes and 12 seconds to finish 9.5km distance. Phidim’s Khadag Rai came second with the timing of 31 minutes and 19 seconds, while Kabin Kerung came third in 33 minutes. The top three athletes earned Rs 15,000, Rs 10,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively. A total of 37 participants from Eastern Region competed in the event organised by Sumjiri Sumhatlung Samrakshan and Sambardhan Pratishthan to mark Udhauli festival celebrated by Kirats.
