Rajat Rana won the title of the RNGC Captain's Cup Golf Tournament here at the Royal Nepal Golf Club today.

Played under stableford ¾ handicap format, the 14-handicap amateur golfer accumulated 43 points to finish first in nett category. Along with the trophy, Rana received return tickets to Pokhara. DIG Ashok Singh came second on count back after he was tied on 41 points with Ranadeep Thapa. Singh scored 24 points on the back nine, while Thapa earned 19.

Lt Col Nischaya Jung Rayamajhi won the gross section title with 34 points. Arshiya Banu lifted the women's section trophy with 35 points, while Gita Gurung came second with 34 points. Brig Gen (retd) Dilip Jung Rayamajhi accumulated 37 points to finish first among the senior golfers.

Likewise, Jaibir Acharya won the junior section title with 26 points, while Shornima Bastakoti came second with 21 points. Suraj Shrestha won the most birdies trophy with three birdies, while Yash SJB Rana and Pradip Kumar Karki claimed the longest drive and closest-to-the-pin awards respectively.

A total of 92 golfers took part in the two-day tournament. RNGC President Prachanda Bahadur Shrestha, Vice-president Narendra Kumar Rai, Captain Rajendra Man Sherchan and Lady Captain Arshiya Banu handed over the prizes to the winners.
