KATHMANDU: Tamang siblings of Ratnajit and Nangshal advanced to the mixed double final of the Yonex Sunrise Pakistan International badminton Series in Islamabad on Thursday.

The Tamang pair defeated the Pakistani duo of Rizwan Azam and Sara Mohammed 21-16, 21-12 in the semi-finals that lasted for just 27 minutes. The Nepali players will meet another Pakistani duo of Said Irfan Said Bhatti and Mehmona Amin in the final that is slated for Friday. In the women’s singles, Nangsal lost to Pakistan’s Palwasa Basir 21-16, 21-12 in the semi-final match.
