Rivaldinho brought in

LISBON: First-division Portuguese club Boavista have introduced Rivaldo’s son as their newest signing on Tuesday. The 20-year-old Rivaldinho was presented to fans and journalists at a news conference alongside his father, the former Barcelona and Brazil star.

Rivaldinho transferred from second-division Brazilian club Mogi Mirim, which had Rivaldo as their president. Rivaldo briefly came out of retirement earlier this year to help Mogi Mirim leave the bottom of the standings in Brazil’s second division.

He and Rivaldinho both scored goals in a recent match. Rivaldinho, a forward, signed a three-year contract with the Portuguese club.
