KATHMANDU: New Summit, CCRC and Times registered victories in the boys’ section matches of the first Rosebud Valleywide Basketball Tournament here on Thursday.

New Summit defeated hosts Rosebud 63-38 riding on 34 points from Prabin Rai, while Anup Basnet netted 23 points as CCRC outplayed Universal 71-28. Times beat Nepalaya 40-21 with Akash Nakarmi netting 13 for the winners. In girls’ section, Xavier International, New Summit and NASA won their matches.

Xavier defeated Reliance 48-24 in which Karma Sherpa netted 22 points for the winning team, while New Summit beat Brihaspati 36-18 riding on Sushila Tamang’s 16 points. Likewise, Anisha Basnet scored 19 points as NASA hammered BernHardt 46-6.
