KATHMANDU: Sanil Shahi has won a gold medal in the boxing event under the 13th South Asian Games (SAG) on Tuesday, bringing Nepal's total gold tally to 50.

Shahi defeated the Indian boxer Bhirendra Singh in 60-kg weight category. The event was held at Army Sports and Physical Training Complex, Lagankhel.
