Sahara Academy, run by Sahara Club to support orphans and poor, received Rs 421,069 donation from a group of Nepalis working in Doha. Former treasurer of the club Birbhadra Acharya handed over the sum to Sahara president Bikram Thakali today. The fund was collected to help the club build the academy infrastructures. Currently the academy looks after 20 children. The academy bears all the expenses of the children. The club has already bought 28 ropanis of land in Mahatgauda to establish the academy.
