KATHMANDU: Samakhusi Futsal Club won the title of the second Nepal Cup Veteran Football Tournament here at the Dasharath Stadium on Saturday.

Samakhusi defeated Shining Sun Football Academy of Kailali 6-0 in final riding on a hat-trick from Tashi Chhiring. Saroj Thapa, Nima Lama and Dilli Ram Shrestha scored one goal each.

Samakhusi’s goalie Pancha Narayan Maharjan was named the man-of-the-match. Samakhusi and Shining Sun received Rs 100,000 and Rs 50,000 respectively.

Shining Sun’s Rabindra Shrestha was named the best player of the tournament, while Samakhusi’s Saroj Kumar Thapa was the highest scorer. They earned Rs 10,000 each.

The tournament was jointly organised by Sports for All, Nepal and National Sports Association, Nepal.
