Kathmandu, February 20

Samana Club defeated Sangam Club 3-2 and Lafa Club beat ANFA Club 4-0 in Tanahun to reach the final of the Khukuri Cup Football tournament today.

In Phidim, the district level tournament for the selection of the players organised by the District Football Association and sponsored by the Khukuri began today.

In the inaugural match, Pathibhara Yuwa Club, Jorpokhari entered the second round defeating Panchthar Yuwa Club. Ten teams are participating in the tournament.

In Bara, 19 players have been selected for the second round of the tournament, which concluded on Thursday. Meanwhile in Hetaunda, Kamaldanda Yuwa Club beat Laligurans Sports Club 1-0. Chandra Rana scored the decider in the 33rd minute.

Similarly, in Gaighat, in the first semi-final, Sripur Yuwa Club overcame Bagaha Yuwa Club in a tie-breaker 5-4. In Butwal, the nationwide Khukuri Club started today. Thirteen teams are participating in the tournament which is being managed by Rupandehi District Football Association.

In the inaugural, Saubhagya Youth Club defeated Machhapuchchhre Club 3-0.
