KATHMANDU: Banepa Cricket Academy and Sports Centre is organising the School League Cricket from January 19 to February 2, next year.

A total of 10 school teams will take part in the event which will be played at the Institute of Engineering grounds in Pulchowk, informed the organisers at a press meet on Thursday.

The participating teams will be divided into two groups and top two sides each from both the pools will make it to the semi-finals.

The league round matches will be of 20-over-a-side, while the semi-finals and final will be of 25 overs. Former U-19 team skipper Prithu Baskota is the brand ambassador of the tournament.

The winner will get Rs 71,000, while the runners-up will get 21,000. Player of the series, best batsman, bowler and man of the match will get cricket kits and gift hampers.
