LOS ANGLELS: Jenny Shin made a sizzling start to the final round on her way to a two-stroke victory at the Texas Shootout in Irving on Sunday. The South korean Shin, 23, clinched her first LPGA victory, and continued a trend of young winners on tour. Shin began the final round two shots behind overnight leader Gerina Piller, but charged past the American and into the lead with three birdies in the first five holes. Playing in the penultimate group, Shin posted a bogey-free 67 for a 14-under 270 total to end her victory drought.
