KATHMANDU: Shridiwa International School and Daffodil Public School advanced to the girls’ section semi-finals of the 11th Shridiwa Monsoon Meet Inter-school Basketball Tournament on Thursday.

Hosts Shridiwa defeated Universal 37-34 riding on Chhewang Sherpa’s 16 points, while Simmi Tamang netted six points as Daffodil beat Himali 14-4 in the quarter-final matches. In boys’ section, Gyan Niketan and Odyssey made it to the last four.

Manish Tamang scored 25 points in Gyan Niketan’s 63-47 win over Buddha Academy, while Odyssey defeated Central 51-39 riding on 13 points from Aman Shrestha. The remaining quarter-final matches are slated for Friday.
