KATHMANDU: Sunny Singh of Makawanpur won the 14th Men’s and 13th National Women’s Open Full Contact Karate Tournament here on Saturday. Singh defeated Kunjan Shrestha of Kathmandu in the men’s 60kg weight category final. In below 60kg, Bikesh Maharjan of Lalitpur beat Santosh Kumar Lama of Kathmandu, while Sanjay Rai of APF outplayed Samir Tamang of Lalitpur in the 50kg final. Top four karatekas received Rs 10,000, Rs 5,000, Rs 2,500 and Rs 1,000 respectively. — HNS
