KATHMANDU: ANFA President Ganesh Thapa said the association was investigating the reasons behind Nepal’s humiliation defeat in the AFC Under-16 Championship Group B Qualifiers held here from October 5-13. “We are investigating the matter and will take a concrete decision after finding out the reasons behind our team’s embarrassing losses,” said Thapa.

The hosts not only lost all four matches but were also unable to score a single goal during their entire qualifying campaign. Nepal began their campaign with a 1-0 loss to lowly Lebanon and suffered heavy defeats against Iran (3-0), Tajikistan (4-0) and Bahrain (5-0).
