South Africa loses practice T20 game on India tour

NEW DELHI:  Jean-Paul Duminy's quick unbeaten 68 came in a losing cause on Tuesday but the South African allrounder says his team made the most of the practice Twenty20 game against an India A side.

Duminy struck six sixes and two fours off only 32 deliveries to top score for the visiting team even as captain Faf du Plessis notched 42 and one-day captain AB de Villiers scored 37 to help post a total of 189-3.

The South African bowlers, however, could not restrict India A as Mayank Agarwal and Manan Vohra scored 87 and 56, respectively, to guide the team through with eight wickets and two balls to spare.

Duminy said the team could have "executed better with the ball" but that there was still time to iron out the flaws.
