KATHMANDU: Sunrise Cricket Academy of Mahendranagar and Mid-western Cricket Club of Kohalpur advanced to the final of the Nexus U-16 Cricket Cup here at the Tribhuvan University Stadium on Thursday.

Sunrise defeated Dhangadhi Cricket Academy by six wickets, while Mid-western recorded a six-wicket win over Butwal Cricket Academy in the semi-finals. In the match affected by rain, Dhangadhi scored 84-5 in 16.1 overs. Sunrise got a revised target of 35 runs in six overs and they raced to victory in 4.5 overs with six wickets in hand.

In another match, Butwal were bowled out for 67 runs in 15 overs before Mid-western overcame the total in 14 overs losing four wickets. The final is scheduled for Friday.
