KATHMANDU: William Opoku scored a brace as Royal Blue Satdobato Youth Club defeated Three Star Club 2-0 in the Martyrs Memorial A Division League here at the Dasharath Stadium on Saturday.
Opoku scored on either half to help SYC move up to fourth place with 29 points. Three Star dropped to fifth with 26 points from 19 matches.
Opoku put SYC ahead in the 24th minute after Dipak Raj Singh Thakuri missed the ball. Opoku doubled the tally two minutes into the second half with a sensational free kick from outside the box.
After the completion of 19 rounds, Church Boys United are at the top of the table with 36 points and they are four points ahead of Jawalakhel Youth Club.
Machhindra FC are third on 31 points.
