DANG: Tribhuvan Army Club and Nepal Police Club advanced to the semi-finals of the NSC Men’s Football Tournament here on Wednesday.

At the Bharatpur Sports Ground in Ghorahi, TAC defeated Eastern 2-0 riding on a brace from Bibek Basnet. Basnet opened the scoring in 17th minute and doubled the tally in 88th minute.

Similarly, NPC thrashed Western 4-0 at the Arniko Sports Ground in Tulsipur. Suman Lama scored a brace, while Nir Kumar Rai and Bhola Silwal one each for NPC. Rai put NPC ahead in the 28th minute before Lama doubled the tally in the 31st minute.

Silwal made it 3-0 in the 43rd minute and Lama sealed the victory for NPC scoring his second goal in the 64th minute.

In Thursday’s semi-final matches, NPC will take on Nepal APF Club, while TAC and Far-western will play in Ghorahi. APF and Far-western had made it to the last four on Tuesday.
