TAC, Three Star ready for final

Tribhuvan Army Club and Ruslan Three Star Club both were confident of winning the title of the Birat Gold Cup Football Tournament here at the Shahid Maidan on Monday.
TAC coach Nabin Neupane said his side would adopt the approach as per the demand of the situation. “Both the teams are of similar level and the match will be a 50-50 affair. So we will adopt best tactics to win the title,” said Neupane. Three Star coach Meghraj KC said his side would be looking to avenge the defeats faced in previous encounters. “Birat Gold Cup final will be best platform for us to avenge the defeats,” said KC.
TAC had defeated Three Star in the quarter-final of the Khaptad Gold Cup and final of the Simara Gold Cup, while the latter defeated the departmental side in the semi-final of the Madan Bhandari Gold Cup in Itahari.
TAC, who have won seven titles in the current season, made it to the final beating Rumpum Jhapa-XI 1-0, while Three Star, who have won four three titles so far, thrashed CMG Club Sankata 4-0 to confirm the meeting with arch rivals.
The winners and runners-up of the tournament will get Rs 1.27 million and Rs 551,000 respectively, while tournament's best player will take home a motorbike.
Similarly, the best coach, goalkeeper, midfielder, defender, forward, team manager and highest scorer will get Rs 25,000 apiece.
