KATHMANDU: The Eyecore Films Pvt Ltd felicitated the 11th South Asian Games' taekwondo medallists with cash awards here on Wednesday.

The Eyecore gave away Rs 50,000 each to gold medalists Deepak Bista and Ayesha Shakya while silver medalllists Kumar Manandhar and Manita Shahi received Rs 25,000 apiece.

As per their announcement made before the meet, the bronze medallists — Dan Bahadur Airee and Yan Kumari Chaulagain — also got Rs 15,000 each. The other four players — Badri Nath Basnet, Ashish Maharjan, Sabina Maharjan and Ramesh Kumar Shrestha — who returned empty handed also received Rs 5,000 each.

Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation Sharat Singh Bhandari gave away the cash prizes to the players.

Eyecore Films Managing Director Prabhu Shumsher Rana, NSC Member Secretary Hari Babu Chaudhary, NOC President Dhruba Bahadur Pradhan and President of Nepal Taekwondo Association Prakash Shumsher Rana were also present on the occasion.
