Tashi Ghale elected NGA president

KATHMANDU: The Annual General Assembly of Nepal Golf Association on Saturday elected a new executive committee under the presidency of Tashi Ghale, who was the general secretary in previous body.

Pavitra Kumar Karki and Tilak Rai are the vice-president, while Chuda Bahadur Bhandari and Chandra Rai are General Secretary and Secretary respectively.

Kishan Kumar Agrawal is the treasurer.

Maj Narendra Kumar Rai, Deepak Acharya, Madan Rana, Maj LP Gurung, Maj MB Limbu, Deepak Magar and Bhuwan Gurung are the members of the committee.

National Sports Council Member Secretary Keshab Kumar Bista was present at the AGM.

Outgoing president Madhukar Yakthuma thanked all the officials for the support extended in his tenure and hoped the new committee would take the golf to a new height.

Newly-elected president Ghale said the new committee would focus on the overall development of the sport. “We will make programmes and set goals for the next four years and will work towards achieving them with team work,” he added.
