KATHMANDU: Five Nepali karatekas are set to take part in the international championships to be held in Australia and the United States of America.

Bijay Lama (60kg), Shyam Karki (75kg), Janak Singh Khadka (67kg) and Sushmita Tamang (68kg) will compete in the Australian Open slated for April 7-9 in Sydney. Team manager Ram Krishna Shrestha will accompany the players to Sydney.

Similarly, Bijay Lama and Janak Singh Khadka will join Sunil Lama (60kg) in the US Open slated for April 12-16 in Las Vegas. The team will leave for Australia on Wednesday.
