LALITPUR: Trungram International Academy (TIA) lifted the title of the third GIHE Football Championship here at GEMS Institute of Higher Education (GIHE) grounds in Dhapakhel on Wednesday. TIA beat Caribbean College 5-4 in penalty shoot-out after match ended in a 1-1 draw.

Samir Kunwar scored for TIA, while Bipin Nepali equalised the match. A total of 12 teams from 11 A Level and +2 Colleges had participated in the league cum knock-out tournament. The event was supported by Simrik Airlines, Time Pharmaceuticals, Hosanna Brick Factory, Nepal Insurance Company and Om Shree Ganesh Saving and Credit Co-operative.
