Rain plays havoc

BIRMINGHAM: Rain meant the Triangular Series day/night one-day international between England and Australia at Edgbaston ended as a no-result. England, chasing a revised target of 200 in 33 overs after a previous 102-minute break for bad weather, were 37/1 off six overs when rain stopped play again. Earlier Australia made 261/9 in a match that was a dress rehearsal for Saturday’s Lord’s final. On Thursday, Australia will face Bangladesh at Canterbury in the final group match. — AP
