KATHMANDU: Himalayan White House International College vanquished Loyola College 100-22 in the basketball match under Weeka Talentia 2005. Binod Shrestha netted 21 points for the winners. In other matches, Prime College beat hosts Kathmandu Don Bosco 56-30 with Yukta Mathema scoring 16 points; and Xavier International College beat St Xavier’s College 26-24. — HNS

TIA enter quarter-finals:

KATHMANDU: Rajiv Sunuwar scored the only goal as Trungram International Academy (TIA) defeated Gyan Bhumi School 1-0 and entered the quarter-finals of the Immortal Martyrs’ Cup U-5ft Football Tournament today. In the other match, Laxmipur School advanced to the round of last eight with a walkover from Joseph English School. The quarters are slated for Thursday. — HNS

NIST outplay Galaxy:

KATHMANDU: NIST defeated Galaxy College by four wickets at the 3D Cup Knock out 20-20 Inter-college Cricket Tournament, which has been jointly organised by Inc Pro Agency and NPC Fashion Mark, here today. Batting first after winning the toss, Galaxy College were bowled out for 76 runs, with man of the match Sailesh Chaudhary being the main damager. Chaudhary took three wickets for NIST and in reply went on to score 17 runs in their four-wicket victory. On Thursday, City College will take on Universal College. — HNS
