KATHMANDU: Prime College and Golden Gate International College won their respective Super League matches of the Fed-Ex fifth Fr Watrin Women’s Basketball Tournament matches here on Wednesday. Prime edged past Snow Leopards 37-33 with Gyanu Sherchan netting match-winning 18 points. In the other match, Golden Gate saw off White House International College 42-34 riding on Neha Chaudhary’s 12 points. Prime will take on Golden Gate and White House will face hosts Godavari Alumni Association on Thursday. — HNS

Flintoff rejects offer

Nottingham: Andrew Flintoff has rejected the offer of an England incremental contract, the all-rounder announced on Tuesday, a move that effectively saw him become a freelance player. The 31-year-old, who retired from Test cricket after England’s Ashes triumph last month and who is currently sidelined with a knee injury, said his decision would help him become the best one-day international player in the world. — AFP
