KATHMANDU: Nepal Armed Police Force (APF) Club and Nepal Police Club (NPC) will play for the title of the first National Volleyball Men’s League Championship on Wednesday. APF registered their third consecutive win seeing off Employment Creation Services (ECS) 20-25, 25-17, 25-21, 25-15 to tie for the lead with the NPC on eight points. Both the teams received walk-over win from Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC) after the Armymen withdrew following Peoples Liberation Army's qualification for the super league. — HNS
FA seminar
BHAKTAPUR: The first seminar of the Fide Arbiters (FA) began in Dhulikhel on Tuesday. The three-day seminar is jointly conducted by Vice President of the Asian Chess Federation Casto Abundo of Philippines and International Arbiter (IA) Dharmendra Kumar of India. Kumar had already conducted training to Nepali national arbiters in April. A total of 17 persons including one from India are participating in the seminar organised by the Nepal Chess Association.— HNS

LALITPUR: RUBC and Singarika won their respective matches at the first Eight-A-Side Football Tournament, organised by the Khalibari Club to mark the Bijaya Dashami, here at the Buddhi Bikash Mandal grounds. Also winning on Tuesday were Himalayan Boys, Chakrapath Yuva and Lagankhel Boys Club. — HNS
