Kumari win

LALITPUR: Kumari Club registered a 1-0 victory over Tushal Youth Club at the Martyrs’ Memorial ‘B’ Division League Football here on Monday. Krishna Shrestha scored the winner in the 67th minute to earn Kumari 10 points from five games. In another match, Kathmandu Club and Koilapani Polestar Club played a 1-1 draw. Bhojraj Chhetri put Koilapani ahead in the 25th minute before Robin Sinkeman equalised in the 72nd. Kathmandu Club have seven and Koilapani five points. Swoyambhu lead the standings with 15 points from five games. Bansbari Club will take on Birgunj Youth Academy and Sano Gaucharan will meet Himalayan Sherpa Club on Tuesday. — HNS

Hock in town

KATHMANDU: General secretary of the Asian Basketball Federation Datoo Yeoh Choo Hock arrived here in a five-day tour on Monday. Hock is scheduled to lay the foundation stone of Nepal Basketball Association’s (NeBA) Covered Hall and Academy building on Tuesday. Hock, who came here following an invitation of NeBA, is also slated to visit Pokhara and Lumbuni, National Sports Council said. — HNS
