KATHMANDU: Depot Secondary School of Sunsari cruised to a 4-1 win over Gyanpunja School of Banke to secure a semi-final berth in the Inter-Secondary School National Football Tournament on Thursday. Pravin Rai gave Depot the lead in the 11th minute and added another two minutes later. Ekendra Karki made it 3-0 in the 30th before Pravin completed his hat-trick in the 69th. Yuvaraj Shahi pulled back one for Gyanpunja. Depot will meet Social School on Friday. The other semi-finals is between Siddhartha Vanasthali and Kalika School of Rupandehi. — HNS

KATHMANDU: Jhamsikhel Youth Club, Madhyapur Youth Association, and Marlyn Club Nepal entered the Group B semi-finals in the C Division League qualifying tournament on Thursday. Jhamsikhel beat Badri Nath Youth Club 2-0 on goals from Subhash Thapa and Lava Thapa while Madhyapur outplayed Budhanilkantha Youth Club 5-0. Binod Bista scored four goals and Rocky Prajapati added another for Madhyapur. Likewise, Marlyn blanked Tamang Samaj Guthi Club 2-0 on goals from Kishan Gurung and Prem Gurung.
