LALITPUR: Kishor Maharjan defeated Basu Lama 3-0 in the men’s open match during the CG TV Squash Championship on Saturday. Winners in other men’s open matches were Anil Bajracharya, Rupak Das Tamrakar, and Gam Prasad Gurung. Likewise. winners in the women’s league included Chhitiz Gurung, Krishna Thapa and Bhawana Sunuwar. Sudip Bahadur Singh overcame Kiran Shrestha 3-0 in the men’s veteran’s section. — HNS
Bindra wins
KATHMANDU: Greesh Bindra won the Monthly Medal Tournament at the Le Meridien Gokarna Forest Golf Resort and Spa here on Saturday. Played under stableford 7/8 handicap format, Bindra earned 42 points, while Ang Tsering Sherpa came second with 40 points. Rene Vijay Einhaus won the best gross award with 40 points. President of Nepal Professional Golfer’s Association, Rabindra Man Shrestha gave away prizes. — HNS
