KATHMANDU: KISC defeated Teresa Academy 61-29 in the senior boys’ section match at the Wilson Hoops 2008 Basketball Tournament here on Sunday. Alex Freeman top-scored in the match with 21 points. In other matches, Bernhardt beat New Don Bosco 40-26, TIA outplayed Glen Buds 55-34 and Arunodaya edged past Malpi International 32-31. In the Junior Boys’ section, Arunodaya overwhelmed Intensive 34-20 and Green Field registered a 26-19 victory over White Field. In the Staff section, Lincoln outplayed DAV 60-19. — HNS

KATHMANDU: Nepal Wado-ryu karate Do Renmei Sondouzyuku Association was registered in the National Sports Council as the 65th association. Kiran Shah Thakuri is the president of the 15-member ad hoc committee. Other officials are Rajendra Khadka (vice president), Madhu Sudan Khadka (secretary), Narayan Dulal (joint secretary), Sadhu Ram Pandit (treasurer), Bimala Neupane (joint treasurer) and members Chandra Man Rokka, Samsu Banu, Dilip Thapa, Hari B Tamang, Raja Ram Khadka, Bhojraj Poudel, Uma Khadka, Dhana Bahadur Khati and Rishi Lama.
