Galaxy enter final

BHAKTAPUR: Prithu Baskota hit a century and Ajit Maden took six wickets as Galaxy Public School thrashed SOS School by 131 runs and entered the semi-finals of the COAS Cup Inter-school Cricket organised by Birendra Sainik School on Tuesday. Batting first, Galaxy accumulated 221 runs losing eight wickets in allotted 40 overs and then restricted SOS to 90 runs in 21 overs. Man of the match Baskota scored 103 off 102 balls and Anurag Kumar Roy made 24 for Galaxy. In reply, Prakash Khaniya made 36 and Khem Khatiwada 16 for SOS. Maden took 6-24 off seven overs and Baibhav Joshi claimed two wickets for Galaxy. On Wednesday, Deep Jyoti will take on Nepal Police School. — HNS

APF School beat TIA

KATHMANDU: Nepal APF School beat Trungram International Academy (TIA) 4-2 and entered the semi-finals of the second Daffodil Cup Inter-school Football on Tuesday. Bibek Bohra struck twice while Sushant Rimal and Sushil Raskoti netted one goal each for the winners. Dhurba KC and Keshang Thakuri scored for TIA. Meanwhile, Valley Public School defeated Mahendra Bhawan 26-22 to enter the final of the Daffodil Champions Cup first Inter-school Senior Basketball Tournament. Sujata Rai scored nine points for Valley Public. Valley Public will play Niten Memorial School in final. — HNS
