KATHMANDU: Golden Peak High School is organising the first Golden Peak Inter-school Junior Basketball Tournament from August 10-15. In all, 16 schools will take part in the tournament said the organisers at a press meet. Students below 5ft are only eligible to play in the league-cum-knockout tournament. — HNS

KATHMANDU: Visiting Indian team defeated Nepal 26-13 in a friendly kabaddi match played for the first time in mats here at the National Sports Council covered hall on Thursday. Fleming axed

Wellington: New Zealand selectors said they would not send Test skipper Stephen Fleming to the Twenty20 World Championships in order to blood Daniel Vettori as captain. Sharapova wins
