Real Betis signings
SEVILLA: Real Betis paid nearly $27.5 million to complete the acquisitions of four new players. Betis reached agreement with Sporting Lisbon for Ricardo, paying $5.5 million for the goalkeeper who agreed to a four-year deal. Betis paid $9.6 million to Argentine club Estudiantes for Mariano Pavone, who agreed to a six-year contract and Mark Gonzalez joined on a four-year pact in a $8.3 million fee from Liverpool. The club also paid $3.4 million to Bayer Leverkusen for Croatia midfielder Marko Babic. — AP
