Muktinath triumph

KATHMANDU: Muktinath Brigade beat Pashupatinath Brigade 2-1 to lift the first IGP (APF) Running Football Trophy on Friday. Nunulal Chaudhary and Ishwor Khatri scored for Muktinath while Santu Pakharin replied for Pashupatinath. Nunulal put Muktinath ahead in the 29th but Santu equalised in the 51st. Ishwor found the winner eight minutes later. Santosh Baniya of Pashupatinath was named the best player. The winners received Rs 25,000 and the runners up got Rs 15,000. — HNS

Scramble golf tourney

KATHMANDU: Royal Nepal Golf Club (RNGC) is organising the second Kathmandu Scramble Golf Tournament on Saturday. In all, 12 teams — each team having three amateurs and a pro — are taking part in the one-day tournament. Winners in various categories will be awarded with trophies, and gift hampers. — HNS
