KATHMANDU: Mukti Nath Brigade and Pashupati Nath Brigade joined Maheshwori Brigade and Baraha Brigade in the semi-finals of the first IGP (APF) Running Football Trophy here on Monday. Prakash Bhujel scored twice and Nunu Lal Chaudhary converted one goal as Mukti Nath beat Baidhya Nath Brigade 3-0 in the first semi-final. Pashupati Nath defeated Bagalamukhi Brigade 2-1. Santosh Pakharin and Ashok Gurung scored for the winners while Bijay Hamal replied for Bagalamukhi. Wednesday’s semi-finals pitts Mukti Nath against Baraha and Maheswori against Pashupati Nath. — HNS

FA Cup draw

LONDON: The possibility of the top two teams, Manchester United and Chelsea, competing in the FA Cup final became a reality after Monday’s draw kept them apart. Blackburn will play the winner of the replayed match concerning Chelsea and Tottenham after they drew 3-3 at the weekend. Watford will play Middlesbrough or Manchester United in their last four fixture and the neutral venues for the April 14-15 matches are yet to be decided.
