U-19 selection cricket

KATHMANDU: Baluwatar Cricket Academy registered a 42-run win over Mahabir Club in the Region No 3 U-19 Selection Tournament. Batting first, Baluwatar scored 146-6 in 30 overs. Abhinav Khatiwada scored 40 and man of the match Nishesh KC made unbeaten 37 runs. For Mahabir, Niroj Rajbhandari, Nabin Dahal, Srawan Parajuli and Kusal Ghala took one wicket each. In reply, Mahabir managed only 104-8. Ishan Khanal and Shrawan Parajuli scored 16 runs each. Rupesh Khadka claimed two wickets for BCA. — HNS

Two-a-side volleyball

KATHMANDU: Dhorpatan Sports Training Club (DSTC), in association with Samakhushi English Boarding (SEB) School, is organising the Dhorpatan-SEB Two-a-side Men’s Volleyball Tournament from March 16-20. “We are expecting 40 to 60 teams from around the country in the tournament,” said DSTC president Manbir Chhantyal at a press meet. — HNS
