Harmison out of ODI :

BRISTOL: England fast bowler Stephen Harmison has been ruled out of the upcoming five-match one-day series with a back injury, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced on Monday. Harmison felt discomfort during the team’s forfeit fourth Test win against the tourists at The Oval earlier this month. Harmison’s absence from the series, which starts on Wednesday, could open the way for 20-year-old pace prospect Stuart Broad to have a run in the side. — AFP

Betis sign Wagner :

SEVILLE: Real Betis has signed left wingback Jorge Wagner from Copa Libertadores champion Internacional. Wagner, who previously played for Bahia, Cruzeiro, Corinthians and Lokomotiv Moscow, is Betis’s sixth signing since last season. On Monday, the club sold Joaquin Sanchez to Valencia for a club record fee of $32 million and is reportedly close to trading its Brazilian striker Ricardo Oliveira to AC Milan. — AP
