POKHARA: Nepali football giants Mahendra Police Club and the African United will clash for championship in the fourth Aaha Gold Cup Football here on Saturday. With Rs 75,000 at stake, African United looks to dominate the injury-scared MPC in the final. MPC had defeated Knight Chess Club and ANFA Academy on its way to final while African United cruised into the final beating Rupendehi XI and the national league champions Manang Marsyangdi Club. The runners up will walk away with Rs 50,000 while Rs 20,000 and Rs 15,000 have also been set apart for best player and highest goal scorer. — HNS

DHARAN: Bharat Khawas scored twice as ANFA Academy’s U-17 team beat Namche Sports Club of Sikkim 2-0 in the day’s match at the eighth Budha Subba Gold Cup Football Tournament here at Dharan Stadium on Friday. Khawas opened the scoring in the 33rd minute and then sea-led the win in the 60th minute. — HNS
Fifth Ride Nepal
KATHMANDU: Himalayan Enfielders, a group of local motorcycle enthusiasts with a passion for the Royal Enfield motorcycle, is organising the non-competative fifth Ride Nepal from March 12-15. The ride begins from Kathmandu with a overnight stay at Narayanghat before riding to Pokhara. About 100 Royal Enfield motorcycle owners are expected to participate in the fun riding, aimed at promoting tourism in Nepal, said the organisers. The bikers will ride around Pokhara on the third day coinciding with the festival of Holi. — HNS
