AFC against Nepal

KUALA LUMPUR: Nepal was dumped as co-host of the AFC Challenge Cup, with the unstable political situation of the nation to blame. The AFC decided that Bangladesh will be the sole host of the competition between 16 ‘emerging’ countries. The dates were also amended to April 1-16. The participating nations are divided into four groups of four teams each and the league-round matches of Group A and Group B were scheduled to be held in Nepal with Dhaka hosting other group matches.
