With a spotless 3-0 round-robin record, Pierce locked up first place in the Black Group and a semi-final clash with world number one Lindsay Davenport. Sweden hold S Korea

SEOUL: Sweden held South Korea to a 2-2 draw in a nail-biting friendly here on Saturday. The home side took the lead after seven minutes when Ahn Jung-Hwan fired a powerful shot past Swedish goalkeeper Eddie Gustaffson. Two minutes later, Johan Elmander gave Sweden an equaliser. South Korea’s second goal came six minutes into the second half when Kim Young-Chul headed a free kick by Park into the net. Tyson in Brazil court

SAO PAULO: Former boxing heavyweight champion Mike Tyson appeared in a Brazilian court after he was accused of assaulting a cameraman in Sao Paulo. The former world champion had hoped for community service as punishment but was told to return to court on March 7. The attorney for SBT television cameraman Carlos Da Silva Mello said his client was considering filing a civil lawsuit against Tyson in the US. A medical exam showed that Tyson had hit the cameraman, the attorney added. — AFP
