Times International College and Xavier International College won the first Rosebud Valleywide Inter-college Basketball Tournament titles here on Wednesday.

Times defeated CCRC 51-46 in the final to win boys’ category title. The most valuable player Aakash Nakarmi netted 24 points for Times. In girls’ final match, Xavier recorded a hard fought 27-26 victory over NASA International riding on Karma Sherpa’s 13 points. Mina Gurung of Xavier was adjudged the most valuable player in the category. Nepal Basketball Association General Secretary Narendra Thapa handed over the prizes to the winners. A total of 29 teams — 12 in boys and eight in girls sections — took part in the tournament.
