TU Chemistry Department win

Chemistry Department defeated Physics Department by 60 runs in the final of the Inter-Science Department Cricket Tournament, organised by Society of Environmental Science Students (SESS) here today.
Batting first after winning the toss at Tribhuvan University Stadium, Chemistry Department were bowled out for 164 runs in 23.4 overs of the 30-over-a-side match. Chandra top-scored with 62 runs.
For Physics Department, Amit Karna took four wickets. In reply, Physics Department failed to overcome the target and were packed off for just 104 runs in 24 overs. Basanta top-scored in the innings with 24 runs.
For Chemistry Department, Ram Bahadur took four wickets. Chandra KC of Chemistry Department was named the man of the match. Amit Karna of Physics Department, who scored 144 runs and took 14 wickets in the tournament, was adjudged the man of the series.
In all, seven department teams of science faculty at TU took part in the tournament, which was technically supported by Cricket Association of Nepal.
Assistant Dean of Science faculty at TU Lok Narayan Jha gave away the prizes.
